4th of July!

We had lots of fun things to keep us busy this 4th of July. We started out our day bright and early by heading down to Provo to see the hot air balloons. They were amazing!
We got there too late last year, so it was fun to be able to see them all getting blown up and stuff. They are huge!
We went to the Provo parade after and had a great time hanging out with Joel's extended family.
Here are a few highlights of what we saw....
Trick horse riders!!! I don't think I really get the point of this now, but when I was little I sure wanted to be one of them! My sister Lindsay would teach me tricks on my little plastic bouncy horse Lol!
.....I can just imagine a conversation this young man might have had with his friends.....
Friend: "So what are you doing in the Parade again?"
Young Man: "ummmm.....I'm wearing a big blood drop suit...."
Sick!!!! He must have been bribed.
Isn't this car sweet!? I've never seen a snazzy copper penny paint job like that!
This guy was a very convincing Cpt. Jack Sparrow. The photo doesn't do him justice.
We also saw my good friend Abe :).
I had a very vivid dream once where I actually got to meet Abe Lincoln and shake his hand. Ever since then I've kinda felt like he's my buddy :).
In my dream, he was in a coffin wearing his famous black suit (only it was crocheted....haha). I shook his hand and I asked him "How come you were so cool when you were alive?!" He very seriously responded "Because I was part of the bow wow gang". And then the song "bow wow wow yippy yo yippy yea" started playing like back ground music.....
Ummm why does this High School band kid have a sword?

After a delicious dinner at the Smith's house we saw some fire works in Riverton. It was a great day!

Yeah, Kalli! The balloons are beautiful and the parade looks like lots of fun. So glad you got some fireworks photos... I missed that part Saturday night.

Oh my... I laughed SO hard while reading your post. I remember the morning you got up and told me about your Abe Lincoln dream... I laughed hysterically. I also agree with you about the trick horse riding. It became less and less cool as I got older. And now I don't get the point. At least I got you to try it out on Brownie White Tail just in case that was what you wanted to do with your life. ;) Ahh.. good times!
BEAUTIFUL pictures of the hot air balloons by the way!

That would be neat if you could share some inside info on photography, Kalli! But, then you would be giving away your secrets, and you might lose business if everyone started catching on too quickly! :)

Well, I'm happy to hear you're feeling better! But, I totally agree, I've never felt back to "normal" even taking the thyroid medication. My friend told me about certain herbs that would help balance out the thyroid. I might give er' a try and see how it goes. Have you seen the N.A.E.T. doctor, yet?
